It’s been very rare this season, but now Paris Saint-Germain can finally capitalize on their extraordinary trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé. But that efficiency comes too late for the Parisian fans and Thierry Henry.
Paris Saint-Germain was carried by its three world stars for two games, but it was against Lorient and Clermont with two big wins (5-1) and (6-1). Too bad it’s not against Real Madrid. Last Saturday in Clermont, Kylian Mbappé and Neymar each scored a hat-trick in an impressive win that counts for Day 31 of Ligue 1. Lionel Messi was also there with his hat-trick, but with a total of 14 assists in La Liga this season. But contrary to this weekend’s match report, the three emblematic players have not often been aligned simultaneously this 2021-2022 season. In fact, the MNM only has 14 games to their tally. Lionel Messi needed time to adapt while Neymar missed many games due to physical disorders. Most recently, he had to leave the field against AS Saint-Etienne from late November to early February after suffering an ankle injury. The long trips to the national team proved more problematic for PSG than for Neymar and Leo Messi, who were often travel-weary on their return to France. For his part, Kylian Mbappé is the only good student as he has made 39 appearances in all competitions this season and is missing just three days in Ligue 1. Messi and Neymar have made 28 and 23 appearances respectively.
Thierry Henry: “It’s a bit late anyway”
MESSI HAS TRICK OF THE SUPPORTS.

Thierry Henry was confident in the MNM’s good performance but Prime Video’s star agent hasn’t forgotten the numerous absences of Leo Messi and Neymar earlier in the season. “We already had a foretaste against Lorient (5:1), there is Clermont. Three assists from Leo Messi, three goals from Neymar and three goals from Kylian Mbappé. To cheer. We’ve been waiting to see this from the start, but they weren’t always there at the same time. Neymar was injured. The 14th time they’ve competed together? Yes, but it’s 14 of how many games. It’s not huge and then Neymar came back not long ago anyway. Now Kylian said it himself. It’s never late, huh…but it’s still a little late.” remarked the former Gunners legend. This season, the Mbappé-Neymar-Messi trio have played just 14 out of 42 full games, a third, in all competitions. Last week against Lorient, the three stars scored in the same game for the first time this season.
