Completed a Belgian Star in Affaire! This Thursday, April 14, 2022, Claudia Sylva came to sell a vase that made a strong impression on buyers. The singer took the opportunity to perform her most famous hit… A sequence that infuriated netizens at the little “animations” offered by the show.

Aside from the celebrity specials that sometimes air during prime time, Affaire’s studios as a whole don’t just attract complete strangers. This Thursday, April 14, 2022, Sophie Davant went backstage to welcome a certain Sylva, a 75-year-old Belgian artist. If her name doesn’t evoke much in France, it’s famous in the “flat country” where she’s been singing for 65 years. When Sylva said she went through the scenes around the world, she was also intimidated by the host. What excites the interrogations of twittos… Neither one nor two, the most curious of them immediately went to the Internet to search for information. They discovered that the artist’s full name was Claudia Sylva and that her most famous hit was titled “I cried.”

A few minutes later, the seventies star entered the appraisal room with her object: a pretty Art Nouveau Daum vase that her mother had given her in 1975: “beautiful, poetic, with an extravagant side in yellow and an interesting shape,” he estimated 700 euro. A bit of a disappointment for Sylva who was hoping for 1000. The Unbeatable closed Affaire on Twitter, hoping for something completely different: that nobody would ask the singer to interpret her tube.

Arriving ahead of the show’s buyers, Claudia’s personality and career didn’t come as a surprise. “What is your passion in life, your job, your hobby?” asked buyer Johan Ledoux. “My job has been singing and composing for 65 years, I just celebrated my 75th anniversary and 55th career […] And I still sing a lot,” she replied in front of the admiring looks of Caroline Pons, Diane Chatelet or even Djamel Bentenah. Curious, Johan wanted to know what the emblematic song of his repertoire was. It was enough to urge Claudia to sing her hit “I cried”, to the chagrin of netizens who commented on the passage on Twitter.

The buyers themselves were more enthusiastic: in addition to the applause for the seller’s performance, they pushed their curiosity a little further. Caroline Pons therefore wanted to know if Claudia had already been made to sing elsewhere than in Belgium. “I was number 1 in Africa, I sang in China, in Morocco, I sang with Annie Cordy, the greatest of the time…” she then specified, impressing his audience. His vase also made a strong impression: Caroline Pons bought it for 1000 euros, exactly the price the singer wanted.
