The first Livebox 6 subscribers do not hide their satisfaction on social networks. The flow measurements are as expected and enough to send the previous generation back in the closet.
Stability and performance, these two qualifiers can already be associated with the Orange Livebox 6 presented just a week ago. At a time when the first subscribers are installing the operator’s new Baby WiFi 6E in their living room, the first speed tests are taking place on social networks. And it’s clear that Orange is delivering on its speed promises.
Just crazy, my network just got multiplied by 8. I now have 2 Gb/s compared to the Livebox 5 where I was at 250 Mbit/s.
I now have to get the Wifi 6 repeater and airbox included in the offer (luckily for the price 🤡). https://t.co/7FT5HrBICd pic.twitter.com/Q9zpqZp7iS

On paper, the Livebox Max offering promises download speeds of up to 2Gbps unshared and 800Mbps upload, all wired. When it comes to top speeds, many subscribers benefit from the first use. Even better, some customers exceed 2 Gbps.

If the Orange network is no longer stable, it is a real advantage to be able to use the connection optimally from the start, which benefits the incumbent operator. It now remains to wait for the first WiFi speed tests with WiFi 6E and the contribution of the 6 GHz band. Orange announced there should be no losses compared to a wired connection. For the time being, some participants manage to achieve speeds of 700 Mbit/s in both directions.
Ultra-easy installation in 5 minutes and without any configuration. The first speed test is really amazing: the speed is doubled compared to my previous live box. That #livebox 6 is fire 🔥 bravo @Orange_France pic.twitter.com/T97CulX7qb

As a reminder, the Livebox 6 has 5 Ethernet ports (only one with 2.5 Gbps, the others with 1 Gbps). His desire is to stand out especially in wireless connectivity by integrating WiFi 6E, which ensures greater throughput and reduced latency as much as possible. The operator also offers up to 3 WiFi 6 repeaters in its new offer, as well as a scalable 20 GB 4G airbox. This 100% fiberglass offer is shown as €34.99 for 1 year and then €54.99/month i.e. H. 5 euros more expensive than the Livebox 5.
