2 games offered this Thursday, April 14

According to Rogue legacy and The disappearance of Ethan Cartertwo excellent games available since last Thursday April 7th. Now the Epic Games Store is allowing its users to get their hands on two new titles: XCOM2 and Insurmountable. The first is one of the best turn-based tactics games ever made, while the second is a solo adventure where you have to climb huge mountains. Two games available from this Thursday, April 14, 5 p.m. to Thursday, April 21, 5 p.m. Games that will definitely keep your evenings busy.

Released February 2016, XCOM2 is THE benchmark for turn-based tactics. Holding the title of Commander, the player finds himself at the helm of a rebel base twenty years after world leaders accepted unconditional surrender to alien forces and XCOM, the planet’s last line of defense, was decimated. The player finds himself in the shadows while the new rulers of the earth build magnificent cities on the surface under the guise of lasting peace. Only, a sinister project aims to destroy any opposition to the regime.

To thwart their plans, you’ll be at the helm of a team of soldiers from different countries, different classes, and most importantly, fully customizable. It’s up to you to decide where to strike, knowing that civilians are at risk of being attacked by alien forces. Five classes available, a skill tree dedicated to each class, conduct your tactical operations however you like, whether you’re a fan of ambushes or more of blitz and blast operations. A varied bestiary awaits you and requires good management of your soldiers, especially since their deaths are final.

Each mission can therefore mark the end of your game. It’s up to you to carefully penetrate the alien infrastructures to thwart the secret plans of Earth’s new rulers. An excellent game that quickly seduced fans of the genre. And if you want to prolong the pleasure, know that prolongation War of the Chosen increases the lifespan of the game.

XCOM2 is available right there until April 21, 5 p.m.

Rather than don your boots and gear up your grappling hooks to set out to conquer Everest, opt for a refreshing adventure with Insurmountable. In this game you play as a lonely rock climber trying to scale the highest peaks in the world. It’s up to you to make the right decisions to survive in this hostile environment. The way to the top is long and you have to be careful not to be surprised by the many dangers that will make your ascent difficult.

Every climb is unique and every climber has their own skills. Dynamic weather, day-night cycle, random events and, above all, ultimate death, enough to promise a surprising adventure for those who want to try their luck. Throughout the climb, you’ll need to keep an eye on your character’s vitals while exploring caves and other ruins to salvage gear from previous climbers. Each mountain is randomly generated, which also offers high replay value.

Insurmountable is available right there until April 21, 5 p.m.
