Meghan Markle in the Netherlands: She offers her coat to a mother in need for more than 3,700 euros

Meghan Markle’s first official appearance in Europe since her sensational departure from England two and a half years ago was eagerly awaited. It happened on Friday April 15, 2022 in The Hague. The Duchess of Sussex was there to support her husband Prince Harry on the eve of the launch of the fifth edition of the Invictus Games, an international sporting competition he created for current and former soldiers with disabilities. This great event will take place from April 16th to 22nd.

At the reception organized on Friday evening, Meghan Markle caused a stir in a luxurious white Valentino ensemble consisting of a jacket and trousers for more than 3,800 euros. It was quickly compared to the white look Kate Middleton wore last month during her official Caribbean tour with her husband Prince William. Unlike the Duchess of Cambridge, Meghan Markle appeared to be wearing no top underneath her worn jacket.

The 40-year-old American had also planned a long Ralph Lauren camel coat, which she didn’t end up wearing but was wise to pick up as it was being worn by another mum. As reported by Daily Mail, a Navy veteran, Fenna Guegjes, was accompanied by his wife Bertine Schuurhuis and their baby. The latter hadn’t expected the evening to be so cold and had nothing to tuck her child into to keep her warm. It was without counting on Meghan Markle’s kindness and generosity.

Archie’s mother (who will be 3 on May 6th) and Lilibet (10 months) rushed to lend her long coat to the mother in need. A generous gesture, captured in photos (see slideshow) that allowed the baby to stay warm.

For her big return to Europe, Meghan Markle was celebrated by the public present. A reception that could only do the Duchess of Sussex good, who, like Prince Harry, is still notorious in England. The couple, accompanied by cameras in The Hague for their big Netflix project, visited Elizabeth II and Prince Charles at Windsor Castle before heading to the Netherlands. A meeting organized in the utmost secrecy…
