Til Schweiger shoots “Manta, Manta 2” with his daughters

the The sequel to the cult 90s film becomes a family affair. Up to Schweiger is not only there as the lead actor himself, but also brought two of his children on camera for “Manta, Manta 2.”

The comedy “Manta, Manta” was not only a big hit in cinemas in 1991, but also the starting signal for Til Schweiger’s career. As a Bertie car fanatic, he made his way into the hearts of the public alongside his movie friend Uschi (Tina Ruland). For more than 30 years, fans have been hoping for a sequel to the cult film – and their wish has been granted.

Schweiger recently confirmed that he is working on “Manta, Manta 2.” He and Tina Ruland, who was seen at RTL’s Jungle Camp earlier this year, will be back in the lead roles. More casting details have now been released.

Luna and Emma Schweiger are there

The 58-year-old, who will also direct the film, has chosen two very special women: his daughters Emma and Luna. Her mother Dana Schweiger has now revealed this in an interview with “Bild”.

She doesn’t know the exact scenario, but she suspects her ex-husband wants their 19- and 25-year-old daughters with them, “because Uschi and Bertie now have kids,” the Native American said.

It would be obvious, because Til Schweiger has done it many times in the past. Emma and Luna appeared in many films with their father. Both have been seen in movie hits like “Keinohrhasen”, “Zweiohrküken” and “Kokowääh”. Emma also played the lead role in ‘Honig im Kopf’ and is currently filming with Til for the film ‘The Best Is Yet To Come’ in Dubai.

Filming will begin this summer

In recent years, Luna has mostly been seen in the “Tatort” episodes alongside her father, who since 2013 as Hamburg commissioner Nick Tschiller regularly investigates the detective series Manta, Manta 2 is set to begin filming this summer.

Besides Emma and Luna, Till Schweiger and his ex-wife Dana, to whom he was married from 1995 to 2005, have two other children together: Lili, 23, and his son Valentin, who is 26.
