Apple itself hasn’t announced anything about the iPhone 14, but like almost every year, comes the time when the housing models are revealed. In recent years, these have been incredibly accurate.
This year, a photo was posted on the Chinese Weibo network, reports 9to5Mac. It should show all iPhone 14 models: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Anyone who thinks the iPhone 14 mini is missing is of course right. But there are also rumors that the iPhone 13 mini is selling so poorly that Apple is discontinuing the mini series.
Earlier rumors said the Pro models should have a smaller section in the screen for the sensors – the notch should be outdated. In normal iPhone 14 models, however, it should still be there. However, this cannot be seen in the photo. It is made of cast metal and must be intended for the manufacture of enclosures. Case makers can use it to check if their products will fit. It is unknown if the metal castings are from Apple.
So, according to the image, there will be two 6.1-inch versions (Normal and Pro) and two with 6.7-inch screens – the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Only the Pro models have cameras, the normal models have two cameras.
What is also noticeable in the photo: the camera bumps are even further apart than in the iPhone 13 series.
Also in previous rumors, it was claimed that the new Pro models will feature a 48-megapixel image sensor. So far, the iPhone only takes photos with 12 megapixels. It remains to be seen whether the 48-megapixel sensors will also produce photos with a higher resolution. There are certainly cameras out there that downconvert the native resolution in order to get higher quality recordings in lower resolutions. For example, noise can be reduced in poor lighting conditions.
What do you expect from the iPhone 14? What should it be able to do, what kind of model would you buy? Feel free to write something in the comment fields.
