The devastating floods in Pakistan, which killed more than 1,000 people and displaced millions, once again highlighted the magnanimity of the nation.
Some chose to donate much-needed necessities while others donated their time and energy to help those in need.
However, former Senator Seher Kamran – of “Wow Enab” fame – decided to use her viral moment for good: the meme will be auctioned as a non-fungible (NFT) token on September 30 to raise funds for the rehabilitation of flood victims.
NFT will be sold in the digital art market, Foundation, accessible link over here.
Talking to Back Daily Hamza Azhar Aslam on the viral meme, Kamran said: “I don’t know how great it turned into grapes but I owned it and thought it should be used for good.”
In the viral video mentioned, Kamran, at a school for Pakistani expatriate children in Jeddah, was standing with a queue of students asking them what they would like to do when they grow up.
A boy came and fired a machine gun in support of the Pakistani army and against India.
Senator Kamran can be heard saying “strong army, wow” and what sounds like “grapes”, instead of “great”. Her prolonged pronunciation now also became a mantra.
Dawn.com Reached out to Kamran for comment.
