A man punched and stabbed in a quarrel over gas money in Mauritania


Police are searching for three people involved in a violent attack in Mauritania.

Police told News 12 that the accident happened last Saturday around 1:05 p.m. at a Speedway gas station on Webster Street.

News 12 A 36-year-old man was told that the victim offered three people a ride home and got into an argument over gas money.

Police say one of the men punched the victim in the face while the other man stabbed him with a sharp object in the buttocks and torso.

The two suspects and a woman escaped and the victim was taken to hospital.

The 36-year-old is expected to be fine.

Anyone who recognizes any of the suspects is asked to contact the police.
