A legal expert who has been closely following the crypto case brought by the US Securities and Exchange (SEC) against Ripple says a potential settlement window has arrived.
Lawyer Jeremy Hogan, a supporter of XRP and a US legal advisor, says the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) allegations that Ripple sold XRP as an unregistered security could be resolved as early as this month.
According to Hogan, now is the perfect and logical time for parties Access Agreement Where both sides presented their case.
“[The] Most likely the settlement timeframe is between now and the end of November, because the cards will be on the table.”
Hogan points for The argument that it wouldn’t be possible for Ripple executives to know XRP was a security in 2012 if the SEC itself didn’t know – or at least didn’t make it clear – was until the launch of the lawsuit in December of 2020.
In the present day, Hogan Says The SEC should give clarity to the cryptocurrency industry by firmly affirming its position on which of the top digital assets in the market are considered securities.
“The SEC should be able to get down the list of the top 20 cryptocurrencies and tell us what (and aren’t) securities are. Why not? Why choose obscurity? Shouldn’t they protect us from these lawless ventures?”

None of the digital assets mentioned in the complaint are among the top 20 coins by market cap.
