A Minecraft-style coding school just launched in the metaverse – play, learn and earn NFT

As we reported in April, crypto hardware wallet leader Ledger has teamed up with The Sandbox, a popular metaverse platform, to create a learning hub in the simulated social world.

At the time, it was just a concept. Now, it’s a fact. The Ledger team has not only set up a shop in The Sandbox, but has also launched a Minecraft-style school that teaches cryptocurrency education. Players can learn about the blockchain and its risks while earning NFTs along the way – and they don’t need a crypto wallet to get started!

“Block School” in the style of Minecraft Ledger

The Minecraft-inspired learning center is called the School of Block, a reference to blockchain, a technology that acts as the primary driver behind many crypto assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and NFTs.

According to a Ledger representative, School of Block throws players into fun challenges that teach them how to protect themselves from the growing crypto scams. It is an educational playground development that teaches users how to be “Overseas Ready”. Although Web 3.0 is full of innovative protocols that can cause massive change in our society, the space is also crawling with cybercriminals exploiting uninformed users. As such, Ledger and School of Block have discovered a fun and interactive way to teach audiences the dangers of the crypto world.
