Its process consists of multiple stages of artificial intelligence to create 75 unique NFTs that capture the juxtaposition between the continuous flow of water and the water tamed within each bottle of Ghost and Rare Port Dundas. Each of the 75 NFT teams will be different.”

Regarding the whiskey itself, Emma Walker and her team are said to have “carefully chosen the most distinct expressions of mature whiskey from Port Dundas for this new Limited Edition. Walker has selected a small number of premium aged whiskeys from Johnnie Walker preserves, all matured in two different types of wood to add depth.” Ghost and Rare Port Dundas features a touch of creamy vanilla notes of whiskey aged in second-to-none American oak barrels and the subtle woody spice of ripe Scotch in the first filling of heavily charred American oak barrels.

To complement the fragrant woody spice feel of Port Dundas, Emma and her team hand-select two other ‘ghost’ whiskeys from the Cambus and Brora distillery before combining them with ultra-rare Scotch from five iconic distilleries. The creamy woody notes of Port Dundas contain vanilla and fine smoke. From “ghost” whiskeys at Cambus and original stocks from Brora.

“Other very rare whiskeys from Cameronbridge and Glenkenchy reveal notes of spiced apple along with Clynelish, Dailuaine and Auchroisk, bringing in flavors of peach and raspberry.”

“Port Dundas was, in its day, one of the finest grain whiskey distilleries in the world, and the rare expressions we selected from our preserves are among the most unique they have ever produced,” said Emma Walker in a prepared statement. “Its slow maturation allows the sweet, granular character to flourish.

“This rare whiskey highlights the distillery character of Port Dundas, and perfectly showcases the remarkable depth of flavor that this grain whiskey brings to the Johnnie Walker Blue Label. The incredible personality has inspired us to create something truly extraordinary that pays tribute to the whiskey makers at this storied Glasgow Distillery.”
