VBSR announces the 2022 award winners, and opens registration for the ceremony


Vermont Business Magazine Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR), a statewide nonprofit business association that aims to harness the power of business for positive social and environmental impact, has announced the 2022 winners of three awards that encourage and showcase the growth and impact of social responsibility business in Vermont. . registration for the 21Street The annual VBSR Awards Gala opens Tuesday, October 4, 5:00-8:30 p.m., in Basin Harbor, Vergennes.

VBSR is pleased to honor four outstanding winners who have demonstrated exceptional leadership in socially responsible business:

  • Curtis Reed, Jr., President of CRJ Consulting Group, L3C and CEO, The Vermont Partnership for Justice and Diversity with VBSR Terry Ehrich Award for Lifetime Achievement,
  • Mamava with the VBSR Award for Innovation and Inspiration – Great Organization,
  • Flexible Capital Fund, L3C with VBSR Award for Innovation and Inspiration – Small Organization, and
  • Emiliano Void, Nuwave Equity with the VBSR Young Changemaker Award.

The awardees were selected for their achievements in championing new ideas and initiatives, leading by example, and developing successful socially responsible business models. Prizes will be presented within 21Street Annual VBSR Awards Ceremony.

About the VBSR Awards Categories

The VBSR Terry Ehrich Lifetime Achievement Award honors an outstanding person in honor of Terry Ehrich, the late owner of Hemmings Motor News and a founding member of the VBSR Board of Directors. The award is given annually to someone who exemplifies Terry’s commitment to society, the environment, progressive public policy and the workplace. Previous winners of the Terry Irish Awards include Jane Kimmish of The Alchemist, Ted Castle of Rhino Foods, and Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield of Ben & Jerry’s.

The VBSR Innovation and Inspiration Award is given to Vermont companies that have recently made innovative and/or inspiring achievement with not only economic but social or environmental impact.

The VBSR Young Changemaker Award is given to an individual under the age of 40 who has led the formation of a socially responsible organization that has been in operation for three years or more. The award seeks to honor both entrepreneurs and those who have led change within Vermont companies and organizations.
