Health, wellness and workspace in Malibu
Sparkling Pacific Ocean and big blue skies meet in the coastal backdrop of Ravi Lounge, an oasis of health and wellness overlooking and surfing the sands of Malibu. Rafi Anteby’s Health and Wellness Lounge will add to its one-of-a-kind experience in October with an exclusive NFT membership for a limited time.
At this point, you might be asking what is NFT, why is it limited, and what makes it exclusive? The answers to these questions are presented in an unfolding experience of mind, body, and spirit that takes place in the heart of Malibu in the rooftop plaza known as Ravi Lounge.
NFT is an acronym for Digital Asset known as “Non-fungible Token”. In practice, it acts as a key or instrument that proves ownership to its holder and can be associated with anything from real estate to physical or digital items. In the Ravi Lounge, that means access.
From PCH, a look at Rafi Lounge offers a spectacle of tents and canopies, where members enjoy the sunshine, sounds and science of the health club. But from the lounge deck, with sweeping ocean views, members refresh, exercise and stimulate mind, body and spirit, a new health and wellness paradigm emerges.
With the launch of the first-of-its-kind NFT at the Rafi Lounge, an exclusive asset class will be created to give owners lifetime access to everything the Rafi Lounge has to offer.
Born in Israel, Rafi Entebbe during his formative years faced an environment that required a level of self-defense and discipline which led him to practice kung fu. After serving four years in the Israeli army, he practiced two years of kung fu in a monastery state in Hong Kong and then taught kung fu in South Africa, winning the Shaolin World Championship title in China.
His experiences brought him close to natural healing and spiritual healing, which came in handy when he was diagnosed with age-related macular degeneration and was told he would go blind. His teachers recommended him to take acupuncture and study Qigong medicine in China. After that, Ravi was invited to study at Wudang Taoist Monastery He became a monk who trained in Qigong, Tai Chi, and Taoism.
“All of these things have brought me into this lifestyle that I carry with me all my life and that really shapes who I am today,” Ravi said in an interview with Axel Arzola.
In his journey, it was art that guided his travels. His inquisitive mind and charismatic spirit embraced new experiences as he healed from his past.
Ravi said, “I love nature, traveling alone to different places, doing art as well as escaping and a way to focus. I couldn’t focus unless I painted.”
Before the pandemic, Ravi created “gifting galleries” for celebrities during award ceremonies, and she was also intrigued by the emergence of “digital nomads” who could work from anywhere. Returning from a trip abroad in 2020 with the outbreak of the pandemic, he decides to move his life of exploration and exercise to one place as an opportunity for others who haven’t had the chance to experience the things he’s been through.
On August 23, 2020, the Ravi Lounge opened on the 6000 square foot balcony. His vision was born to create a safe haven for his experiences and combine them together into one thing where health and wellness could permeate its members and bring healing to relationships and financial matters.
“Everyone can have access to healing experiences, all kinds of wellness methods from veterans and healers, and at the same time elevate them with futuristic approaches to health and financial wellness so that they can truly grow in the global ‘next,’” said Ravi.
The Rafi Lounge is a new era of co-educational health and wellness where members can work and meet productively, then move on to share and exercise with like-minded people overlooking Malibu landmarks including Carbon Beach and Malibu Pier.
Rafi Lounge members have access to work and study spaces, refreshments, health and exercise classes, opportunities to network with creatives, and educational classes.
Classes and experiences include yoga, guided meditation, sound baths, cycling, boxing, martial arts, dance, Reiki, tai chi, master classes with teachers, and a long list of additional options. Ravi merges ancient wisdom and practice with the future of technology, including 3 educational web evenings to bring together those interested in the future of the internet.
These experiences from the Malibu deck provide a personalized, guided workout and networking to promote personal and professional growth in a Rafi curated space for optimum increase and engagement.

“What I have come to realize is that the world is on some level being turned upside down, in the most beautiful way,” Ravi said. “We’re seeing more and more kids teaching their parents to be social in new ways and make money in new ways.”
As a former Taoist monk, Ravi indulges in I Ching – “Book of Changes. “
“Everything changes,” Ravi said. “At the beginning of the pandemic, I told all of my students from all over the world that this is the time they are going to learn how to pivot. So they better understand that whatever they are doing is pivoting in martial arts… this is the time.”
During that time, Ravi studied the emergence of NFTs from both an artist’s perspective and a utility perspective. What he saw was that they were allowing artists to present themselves in a new way, as well as allowing a tool that offered new ways of access, and he wanted to learn more.
“I hosted a few NFT nights here, and brought in different speakers,” Ravi said. “And if I can say it in a humble way, it is for personal reasons – I wanted to learn. So, I would bring different people and listen to their lectures, and I was able to pick and choose my team.”
While discovering the world of NFT, Ravi learned the balance offered by digital assets, and decided to incorporate them into the Ravi Gallery as art and utility.
“As an artist, I draw mandalas from sand and have always wanted to share them,” Ravi said. “It’s very challenging for an artist. It takes over 2,000 hours to create one mandala. I put a bead by bead, and it’s two years of my life to do it. So selling it—it’s like saying goodbye to a part of my life.”
NFT offered Ravi an opportunity to segment and sell his artwork without giving up art entirely, so that others could enjoy his art. NFT offers members access to mandala ownership as well as lifetime benefits in the Rafi Lounge.
“We come here with the best of the best,” said Ravi, “from the Tibetan lama to Sri Sri, the teacher from India, to Gladys Knight who did her part, to Brooke Burke who teaches here and our other great teachers.”
NFT gave Ravi a way to distribute an ownership interest in Ravi Gallery in both art and facilities, and the owners benefit from expanding the experiences at Ravi Gallery. The value of NFT is emerging in the digital space, and its application in utility is emerging. Ravi sees his lounge – and the current offering of service, experience and opportunity – as a core asset embedded in the emerging digital reality.
“NFT was the perfect thing,” Ravi said. “You take NFT and you distribute it to your members and they become almost like partners. They have the same goal as you – to make it go up. As the world of NFT grows, I really believe it will bring more and more benefits. People want to see that there is an essence behind it. I’m not Picasso. I don’t have art. $10 million. Tech has value, but NFT needs interest.”
Rafi Lounge offers tangible benefit to its members, and Rafi stands behind what he created.
“It has proven useful,” Ravi said. “I’ve had Rafi gym 2 years ago, it’s not going to happen, it’s just growing. I opened it in the hardest time. When everyone closed, I opened. I was the only thing open in town and opened properly. It was a health club, outdoors, catering to all the requirements of centers Disease control. It was a very good opportunity for me to explore and show it to the world. I think it’s the perfect thing at the right time.”
“I think what’s happening now is a merging of two very beautiful worlds and that’s what I wanted to bring together in the Ravi gym,” said Ravi, “a space to focus and work, have meetings with like-minded people, and then hop on a course or into a class of boxing, tai chi.” qigong, kundalini, and yoga, and enjoy those things that elevate them and help them be healthy inside and out.”
The power of the internet is in its infancy because it connects people on earth. Possibilities are constantly emerging, merging, evolving and multiplying.
“I hope people will raise their awareness the same way the Internet does,” Ravi said. The internet is something that happened, and people don’t even realize it. We see a lot of polarity, a lot of left and right, but the Internet has broken all boundaries. I’m Israeli, and I can call a Palestinian man and say: I want you to be my brother. I want you to be my friend.’ We can connect with people from all over the world and get around the system that tells us not to.”
Ravi envisions his lounge as a physical space that can inspire the ascent of one’s mind, body, and spirit into the larger world.
“If I can do it in the Ravi gym and bring like-minded people together, collective consciousness can grow on many levels,” Ravi said. “All of us can do this part. I hope everyone can see that, see a little thrust and make a very big difference. If you know how much thrust makes a difference – you go to the beach and you see a plastic bag and a seagull right next to it… Stop putting it in your pocket and you won’t see the butterfly effect of this procedure. I hope everyone sees it and pays attention and cares about what’s going on around the corner.”
