The Worcester Polytechnic (WPI) School of Business today announced a new initiative to improve access to graduate programs and meet growing market demands. Under this initiative, tuition fees for some programs are simplified and reduced. These changes are being implemented as part of a larger effort under the WPI Strategic Plan 2021-2026 “Leadership with Purpose” which directly addresses issues of accessibility and affordability to support a thriving community of diverse learners and actors.

“In this increasingly competitive world of business, there is an urgent need for STEM professionals who also have strong business acumen and management skills,” says Rev. Dr. Deborah Jackson, Dean of the Business School at WPI.

data from Survey the future of jobs made by World Economic Forum 2020 shows that the top 20 growing career occupations require a combination of business skills and technology. These roles include data analysts, scientists, business development specialists, and FinTech engineers. In addition, the Bureau of Labor Statistics The BLS predicts that STEM occupations will see an 11 percent increase by 2030.

“This initiative will enable more students to access our graduate programs, make a return on their investment sooner, and be well positioned to advance their careers,” Jackson adds.

Among its graduate programs, the School of Business offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Science in Business Analytics, Innovation with User Experience, Information Technology, and Operations and Supply Chain Analytics.

As a leader in STEM education and research, WPI recognizes that technology and business are inextricably linked. As the home of the Business School for Engineers and Scientists, WPI prepares students with the management skills needed to become leaders in their fields and take tomorrow’s innovations to market.

The new tuition rates are currently in effect and will also apply to current students, and will also apply to current students.
