Best bets for September 20 – The Daily Gazette

Every day, one of our experts will make the best bet (or two or three) that portable sportsbooks have to offer. It could be a traditional spread bet, a player prop, or one of the different boosters offered by books.

A reminder for those who haven’t signed up yet: New users can get a risk-free bet at Caesars Sportsbook, which means that if you lose your first bet, you will get a free bet of the same amount up to $1250. New users also get 1,000 Caesars Rewards points to exchange for hotel or casino credit.

Here are your best bets for Tuesday, September 20:

best gameplay

The play: MLB: Reds (money line) on the Red Sox

Odds/betting: -105 ($31.50 to win $30)

the book: Caesar’s sports book

time/television: 6:40 p.m. (MLB.TV or MLB Extra Innings)

we took: The Reds haven’t had a lot to fit in this season, but they appear to be in a position to win tonight with promising young bowler Nick Ludlow taking over the hill.

Dominant early September 3, being allowed no more than three runs at any start and scoring at least nine hits or more, Ludlow has done surprisingly well at home throughout the year given that the Great American Ballpark is usually friendlier with hitters.

The Reds and Ludulu will be at home tonight against a fellow Red Sox teammate, who will start Bryon Bellew, who has struggled to get to Era Route 7.07 and likely won’t fare better tonight.

MLB Under Play

The play: MLB: The Cubs in the Marlins under seven games

Odds/betting: -105 ($10.50 to win $10)

the book: Caesar’s sports book

time/television: 6:40 p.m. (MLB.TV or MLB Extra Innings)

we took: The Marlins have become the team to target when it comes to finding value at a low level given that they usually play well while struggling to score points.

Tonight looks like another opportunity to cash in despite the total dropping at seven runs, as the Marlins take on the also-struggling Cubs and watch Adrian Sampson progress as one of the most reliable shooters.

Sampson will face Marlins player Pablo Lopez, who has had mixed results lately, but the two should be able to thrive against less than excellent formations and keep running totals low.

How did we leave

Monday’s Best Bets

  • NFL: Vikings (+2.5) over the Eagles (lose $31.50)
  • NFL Point Total Paralysis: Titans at Bills under 47.5, Vikings at Eagles over 49.5 (lose $10)

Monday’s win/loss: – $41.50 (0-2)

Total for the week: – $65.80 (5-10)

September total: – $222.90 (12-23)

Total for 2022: – $271.70 (235-272)

note: If the line or odds are negative, it is considered the juice that one should place for the bet. For example: Team A is -160 on the money line, one would have to bet $160 to win $100 (or $16 to win $10). Or Team B is the 5-point favorite at -110, one must bet $110 to win $100 (or $11 to win $10).

Conversely, on positive lines, if Team C is +140 on the money line, $100 will bring in $140 (or $10 to win $14).
