Harris County man helps Humane Society raise money

Columbus, Georgia (WTVM) – A Harris County man helps the Humane Society raise money from bees.

Currently, many animal shelters across the country are overcrowded and need additional funding.

Kevin Weiss has volunteered for the Humane Society of Harris County for several years.

He saw the need for additional funding and combined his hobby of beekeeping and making honey to help.

Weis bottles His Humanity Honey, which is 100% raw, and donates all proceeds to the local shelter.

He says it’s “the least he can do to help the environment and the animals in his community.

“I love to help the planet pollinate, and I love honey to help dogs and cats. The motto of the humane community is part of the solution so I want to be part of the solution. I want to help people, help animals. Love is the answer,” Weiss said.

“Honey nectar” is sold to the Humane Society of Harris County.
