Legal & General is making leadership changes in the pension risk transfer business

The Legal & General Retirement Institutional is realigning leaders in its global pension risk transformation business, the London-based firm announced Friday.

Chris DeMarco He is changing roles, with the General Manager now leading strategic accounts and new markets, while John Towner Moves to leadership position for the UK’s pension risk transfer business. Mr. Towner was previously president of the new business.

Emma Byronformerly Managing Director of Legal & General Adirement Solutions, is now CEO of Legal Operations and Public Pension Agency.

“Demand for reconstruction and reconstruction is growing and there are tremendous opportunities in both the UK and international markets,” Andrew Kyle, chief executive of the statutory Public Pensions Corporation, said in a press release.

Legal & General has 1.3 trillion pounds ($1.5 trillion) in assets under management. The Legal Institutions and Public Retirement Division works with defined benefit pension funds on buyouts, takeovers, and other degrading solutions. The press release stated that the annual pension business in the UK was over £89 billion as of March 9.
