41 teams of 20 people hit the runway to see how fast they can haul a FedEx cargo plane across 20 feet.
The Fundraising Event for the Travis Mills Foundationa nonprofit organization that helps veterans and their families recalibrate and recover after military service.
The day has acquired special significance for military veterans. US Army veteran Aaron Brooks retired after being injured in combat in 2013. After several years in a wheelchair, he attended the Travis Mills Foundation retreat in 2019. It was the first time he was able to take a family trip without an assistant.
Returned to the resort twice since his first visit. Today, he can not only walk, but also pull a huge plane.
“Ten years ago, I thought, ‘If someone told me I was doing this today, I wouldn’t believe them,'” Brooks said. “Being able to be involved in something like this is amazing – even just walking and holding a rope.”
