Today we bring you an interview with Evan, where we talk about his ideas Bitcoin.comand NFTs, verse and more.
Bitcoin.com Alex Knight Product Experience Manager: So excited to be on board with Evan. Can you tell us your own words about Cool Cats?
Evan Loza, Co-Founder of Cool Cats: Excited to contribute! It has been a full circle for me of helping out Bitccoin.com Re-brand and back now for advice with Verse. Cool Cats is a collection of 9999 different cats based on Blue Cat, a character that one of my close friends and co-founder, Colin Egan, has been developing since high school. Our brand celebrates inclusivity and individuality, and aims to continue to be a space where everyone is welcome. We started the brand through NFTs but have plans to continue growing into a diverse range of media from merchandise, media, content, games, licensing and anything in between.
Alex: What drew you to NFTs?
Evan: As someone who grew up on Pokemon and Yugioh cards, I’ve always been exposed to collectibles and traded them with friends. That enthusiasm associated with a passion for cryptocurrency just became a natural click for me, and it ended up being a market opportunity that I identified in the NFT space.
Alex: What excites youBitcoin.comWhy did you decide to join as a consultant for our Verse NFT project?
until: After being heavily involved in Bitcoin.com During my previous time on the team as a product designer, it’s exciting to be back full circle and to be able to provide insights into NFT’s central focus this time around. Bitcoin.com I have always been very focused on making the world cryptocurrency through tools like wallet and merchant integration. Bitcoin.com It is uniquely positioned with its large crypto-centric audience to drive greater adoption and awareness of NFTs and their innovative solutions and implications. At the same time, I believe that NFTs can act as a powerful magnet for crypto newcomers, empowering people who aren’t necessarily interested in finance with the knowledge and tools they need to take advantage of DeFi.
Alex: What are some NFT tools / use cases that you are excited about?
Evan: To date, the largest use case for NFTs is community building. While on the surface it may seem as Just a wonderful work of art, Having a group of people unite around a concept or way of thinking is really powerful, and it goes beyond just creating a brand.
In these early rounds of NFT adoption, you see projects focus on use cases that strengthen communities. For example, we recently activated our brand of NFT NYC 2022 We were able to offer Cool Cats and Pets owners benefits, such as getting a free plush doll, and shaking their exclusive wristband to display the NFT on some of the interactive screens around the venue. With the use of tokens, there are opportunities to produce and display exclusive merchandise and events – which is the way I think the space is still early days.
In the long term, the use cases of NFT will expand to many disparate industries. I see the next generation of major fashion brands coming out of the NFTs. Similar to the venomous monkey or the Bathing monkey. Media projects, from books to music to films, will have NFT community-driven successes. Of course video games and the metaverse will incorporate NFTs as core mechanics. Education certifications, whether they are diplomas or a type of skills certification, will become NFT certifications. Then you have legal things like registry bond systems that will benefit from the blockchain and NFTs. Finally, the way technology usually works is that the most compelling use cases are those we can’t even imagine at the moment!
Alex: Now that the first big cycle of NFT adoption has subsided, what do you think is coming next?
Evan: The bear market is the best time to build!
Alex: What are the components needed to run a successful NFT project?
Evan: Authenticity, originality, innovation, and the ability to pivot and change lanes as Web3’s ever-evolving landscape changes. Today’s standards and variables differ from those of tomorrow. It’s good to be experimental and of course keep a healthy pulse of community sentiment every step of the way.
Alex: What, if any, developments in blockchain technology are important to mainstream NFT adoption?
Evan: Security, ease of use, low transaction fees, speed of transactions and user experience, are the things that come to mind.
Alex: Can you share with us an important lesson you learned from your experience making adorable cats?
Evan: Society is everything. It is impossible to make everyone happy all the time, but it is extremely important to have a healthy and consistent line of communication with the community and to constantly check their feelings and ideas about what you are building, your goals and how you are developing your brand.
